INTERJECTIONS

  

Interjections: An interjection is a word used to express a strong emotion or sudden feeling like anger, surprise, excitement etc. These words do not have a particular meaning. They gain meaning from the context in which they are used.

E.g., Oh! Wow! What! Oops! Alas! Aha! Hurry! Hurrah! Hello! Ha! Listen! Look! Bravo! Well done! O.K.!

 

1. Alas! We lost the match.

2. Alas! I am ruined.

3. Alas! He has passed away.

4. Hurrah! She got the prize.

5. Oh! I missed the bus.

6. What a beautiful scenery!

7. How lucky you are!

8. Wow! The cake looks delicious!

9. May luck be with you!

10. Ah! I spilled the coffee.

11. What a boring fellow you are!

12. Hello! What are you doing here?
